Tamil Nadu main Minister MK Stalin said on Thursday (June 19, 2025) that the DMK government assigned a melody of 6,626 GBP Crore for the MSME industry, almost double 3,617.62 crore assigned to the previous AIADMK sector.
“With more than 35 lakh registered MSmes, Tamil Nadu ranked third in India. These companies have created job opportunities for 2.47 crore people,” said ACME 2025- AMEMA Ambuttur Exhibition.
With regard to the contribution of MSME to the economy of Tamil Nadu, this financial year was assigned to this financial year 1 918.22 CRORE, said Stalin and at the same time stated some progress that stood in industrial development under the DMK regime.
“According to our prey administration model, the industry has grown extremely. Tamil Nadu is third in India with an export of $ 30,50 billion. In the production sector, Tamil’s contribution to the total production of India is 11.90%, said.”
“We created 14 industrial parks. Tamil Nadu ranks first in the production of motor vehicles, ready -made textiles and leather goods. It is second in the production of textile machines and electronic goods,” Stalin said.
Of the 14.9 lakh female workers in India, Tamil has 6.3 lakh women in the workforce, which is 42% of the total number and 30% of businessmen in Tamil Nadu is women, he said.
The government will set up multi -storey industrial complexes in Guindy and Ambattur, a silver rings manufacturing complex set up in Salem, a hostel for Coimbatore workers, a pharmaceutical complex in Tindivanam and the Golden Warden Park in Coimbatore, Stalin said.
Satish Babu, President Aiema, said that the industrial estate of Ambattur was founded 63 years ago and is currently providing employment with 3 lakhs and has 2,000 industrial enterprises. He also asked Mr. Stalin to assign 1,000 acres to set up exclusive industrial assets for members of AIEMA to a circle of 50 km from the Ambattur Industrial Estate.
Mr. Stalin assured that the application would be considered. On this occasion was also present TM Anbarasan, Minister MSME.
