On Friday (May 2, 2025), the Council for High School Education announced West Bengal (WBBSE) Results of this year’s Class X Council, which started on February 10 and ended on April 2.
Students from the districts of West Bengal overcame students from Calcutta during class 10 (Madhyamik Pariksha).
The highest percentage of this year’s passage was recorded among students from the Purba Medinipur district (96.46%), followed by a closely students of the Kalimpong district in North Bengal (96.09%). Kolkata is third among the districts in terms of the percentage of passage this year (92.30%).
Meanwhile, among the 66 students who secured the top 10 ranks in the state this year, only one of Kolkata belonged to the list.
Adrit Sarkar of Raiganj Coronation High School in Uttar Dinajpur was placed first. Anubhab Biswas from the Ramakrishn Vivekanand Vidyamandir mission in Malda and Soumya Pal from Vishnupur High School in the Bankman Together in second place. The third rank was ensured by the candidate ishani Chakraorta from Bankury Kotulpur Saroj Basini Balie Vidyalaya.
Abantika Roy from Ramakrishn Sarada mission Nivedita Girls’ School is the only student from Calcutta to ensure the rank at the 10 best candidates this year. Eighth.
Eleven of the 66 best miners came from the district Bankura. Other districts with a high number of state toppers include Purba Medinipur, Malda and Hooghla.

Boys overcome girls even though they are exceeded
This year the percentage of successful regular candidates was 86.56%, according to Mr. Ganguly, historically the maximum.

With a success rate of 69.47%, Jalpaiguri recorded the lowest percentage of passage from all districts in the state in northern Bengals.
