Andhra Pradesh Forensic Science Laboratory (APFSL) Assistant Director (DNA Wing) Bommakanti Phani Bushan has been selected for the ‘Kendriya Gruhamanthri Dakshita’ award-2025.
This is the first time an officer from Andhra Pradesh has been selected for the award, Director General of Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta said while congratulating Mr. Phani Bushan.
The APFSL won the award for the government’s tremendous support in implementing several reforms, including allocation of funds, technical support, provision of necessary equipment and timely disposal of pending cases, the DGP said in a statement on Friday (Oct 31, 2025).
“The award is announced on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel every year. During his 28 years of service, Mr. Phani Bushan extended good services in serology and DNA sampling and played a vital role in solving critical cases,” said APFSL Director G. Pala Raju.
