India reiterated on Thursday (July 17, 2025) that the next Bangladesh elections should be “inclusive” and “all in the fold”. The official spokesman of the Ministry of Outside commented the elections the day after students encountered the leaders of the interim governmental National Civic Party (NCP) with the Awami League cadres in his Gopalganj Fortress, where the Bangladeshi founder, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman resides.
“You know our opinion in Bangladesh elections. We said we would welcome the organization of elections that is inclusive and includes all in its fold,” said official spokesman Randhir Jaiswal.
The Gopalganji clashes occurred after the leaders of the NCP arrived outside the Sheikh Mujib memorial, guarded by AWII League activists. 10.
