Poverty did not discourage these two girls, LR Sanjana Bai, daughter of a truck driver, and K. Nirmal, a daughter of an agricultural worker, since overcoming all chances and a demonstration of an impressive show in II PU examination, the results of which were announced on Tuesday.
While Sanjana, a student of the PU College in the Cottur, the Vijayanagara district, exceeded the art stream by securing 597 stamps from 600, Nirmala from Sri Panchasali Pu College at Ittigi in Huvina Hadagali Taluk ensured the second place to get 596 brands.
597 Sanjana brands of 600 are the highest student in the history of her university.
Sanjana is an ambitious and hardworking student. During the SSLC test, she scored 93%, and her impressive signs helped to ensure the headquarters at the Indian College in Cottru, known for her performance.
“To encourage hardworking and clear students, Indu College offers a concession in fees for those who get good grades in the SSLC exam. I got a 6,000 ₹ concession when I got a college.
Sanjana’s father controls his truck throughout the country. She is the breadwinner and her mother is in the home. The bad family considered it very difficult to pay fees for the Sanjan hostel in one installment.
“The university allowed us to pay fees in three installments. My father managed to provide fees,” Sanjana said.
When she asked how she could spew such a spectacular performance, she attributed her success to her college teachers.
“The syllabus was completed by the end of November (2024). Then the college began to perform preparatory tests. Every morning there was a preparatory test and in the afternoon we revised the warp. We studied during the night,” she said.
To question her goals, she said she wanted to break the UPSC test to join the Indian administrative service.
Sanjana is the oldest child while her younger brother studies in class 10, her younger sister is in class 9.
The story of Nirmala is no different. After divorcing with her husband, Nirmal’s mother left the village of her husband, Yangamar Kalgudi in Gangavati Taluk from the district of Koppal to return to her parents in the village of Kannihalli near Ittigi.
“We had no choice but to rely on my mother’s grandmother and my uncles (mother’s brothers). Their financial situation is not so strong. Family toilets on five acres for survival. My mother works as an agricultural worker in others.
When she asked about her study model, she said she studied five six hours a day at home, except for the revision and preparatory tests at university. She traveled to college every day.
Both Kottur’s Indu College and Ittigi’s Sri Panchasali Pu College) performed 12 preparatory tests to prepare their students for the final exams.
