The Cyberabad Police Commissioner inspects flyovers and underpasses of IIIT Junction in Gachibowli

Cyberabad Commissioner of Police M. Ramesh on Tuesday inspected the ongoing road development and transport infrastructure works at the IIIT junction in Gachibowli, aimed at decongesting Hyderabad’s IT corridor.

During the visit, the official reviewed the construction progress of multi-level overpasses and underpasses at the busy intersection.

After evaluating the prevailing traffic conditions around the intersection, the commissioner directed the officials to implement suitable traffic diversions to minimize inconvenience to commuters during the construction phase.

He directed the authorities to focus on developing alternative routes and take necessary steps to ensure smooth movement of vehicles in the area.

The official also directed officials to install appropriate signboards, barricades and lighting at important locations near the construction zone. He further ordered deployment of traffic personnel at critical locations to regulate movement and avoid congestion.

The commissioner stressed the need for coordination among all departments to ensure that the infrastructure project is completed within the stipulated time frame, with public safety as the top priority.

Cyberabad Traffic DCP Seshadri Reddy, Traffic ADC P Hanumantha Rao, officials from CMC Engineering department were present for the inspection.
