The courtroom drama about transgender rights hits screens on June 19
The film’s release coincides with Pride Month.
Maker P. Suneel Kumar Reddy’s latest film, ‘LGBT – Legal Battle’, a courtroom drama focusing on the lives and struggles of transgender people, is slated for a nationwide release on June 19.
The film highlights issues of equality, dignity and justice through a legal and emotional narrative. The release coincides with Pride Month.
Launching the trailer of the film, Mr. Reddy said the project aims to bring the reality faced by the transgender community to a wider audience. He expressed his belief that the film will stimulate discussion on human rights and social inclusion.
Starring: LB Sriram, Esther Noronha, Raju Kher, Anand Chakrapani and Preeti Nigam. Hima Rathod plays the female lead.
The film also features transgender activists Chandramukhi and Laila in key roles along with gay rights activist Vishnu Teja. According to the makers, several transgender artists have been cast in key roles to add authenticity to the story.
Cast members said the film was a sensitive portrayal of transgender lives and expressed hope that audiences would connect with its message.
