
Police arrested a couple from Challantunn in Pathanamthitta for accusing two young people to the “honey trap” and subjected to brutal torture.
The arrests were identified as Jayesh and Reshmi. Reportedly defeated the victims, one of the Neelamperoor in Alappuzha and the other from the morning in Pathanamthita, with iron rods and took the staplers to their private parts.
The victims told the media that the couple showed “psychopathic mentality”.
The crime came to light when the young, abandoned after the attack, were taken to the hospital in a critical condition. The couple allegedly stole their two mobile phones and 19,000 ₹ from his wallet before leaving him on the Autorickshaw stand. Previously, Jayesh lifted him out of Maramon on his motorcycle around 12:30 on 1 September and took him to the couple’s residence.
The second victim that had previously worked with Jayesh in a private company was invited to the house of pair 5. September (Onam Day). He was reportedly beaten up by an iron rod, his clamps clung to 23 locations on his body, including his genitals, and was robbed of money and his mobile phone before being abandoned in an isolated area.
After abuse, the couple allegedly forced the victims into the situations presented, recorded naked photographs, and made pictures to seem as if they were dealing with sexual actions with Reshmi. Investigators believe that a couple used these pictures to victims blackmail and silence.
Initially, the case was registered at the Aranmula Police Station before converting to Koipuram Police Station.
