The couple allegedly attempted suicide in an ambulance outside the Kerala HC

A young man and his wife allegedly attempted suicide outside the Kerala High Court here on Tuesday morning (July 21), alleging that the man was accused in a rape case.

Vinu P., an ambulance driver from Aluva, and his wife Bincy allegedly tried to take the extreme step in their vehicle. They alleged that the complainant, their ex-boyfriend, and the police made their lives difficult. The alleged incident took place around 6:30 am

The Ernakulam Central police rushed the couple to a nearby hospital. They say they are out of danger.

They also accused the female judge in Aluva, who is said to be a relative of the complainant, of harassing them because of the complaint.

The couple reportedly tried the extreme step after making a five-minute video in which they leveled allegations against their ex-boyfriend, the police, who allegedly registered a case against Vinu, and a judge.

The Central Police has started a preliminary investigation into the incident.
