At his address, the Minister also emphasized the urgent issue of environmental pollution and noted that the transport sector itself represents 40 % of air pollution in the country. He repeated the commitment of the government to support environmental vehicles that run on green and biofuels such as methanol and ethanol.
Gadkari emphasized the steps of the Indian automotive industry and revealed that the award of the sector jumped out of £14 Lakh Crore in 2014 £22 Lakh Crore in 2024. He also noticed an important milestone: India has now overtaken Japan to become the third largest market with cars around the world, only behind the United States and China.
The Minister also acknowledged the financial challenges facing printed media and noted that maintaining newspapers includes ensuring consistent income from advertising to cover operating costs – the task he described in the current media landscape as increasingly demanding.
Gadkari’s proposed initiative is part of the wider vision of the modernization of Indian transport infrastructure and remains culturally rooted and ecologically conscious.
