The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Kottayam held its seventh convocation ceremony on Saturday. As many as 279 BTech, 43 MTech and six PhD students received their certificates on the occasion
V. Narayanan, Secretary, Ministry of Space and Chairman, Space Commission and ISRO was the chief guest. The ceremony was presided over by Vijayalakshmi Deshmane, Chairman of the Board of Governors. Director (in-charge) IIIT Kottayam Prasad Krishna and Registrar M. Radhakrishnan were also present. The guest of honor was Jijo G. John, CEO of Calpine Group.
In the M.Tech (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science) programme, Ijas AH and Abhishek Suman won gold medals. In M.Tech (Cyber Security), Salini KS and Sreelakshmi KS bagged the top honors, while Saju S. won Gold in M.Tech (Big Data and Machine Learning).
Among the B.Tech graduates, Konyala Anish Reddy and Keerthana Menon topped the Computer Science and Engineering stream, while SJ Satish Kumar and Rohith George Ninan topped the Electronics and Communication Engineering stream. Zende Akhilesh Prafulla and Aditya Kumar Raushan emerged as the best in cyber security.
