In the intervention against the Autorickshaw Ering drivers, the transport department on Monday started nationwide surprising checks and reserved up to 260 cases for various violations. Similar units were also led in Nelamangala and Ramanagara.
The procedure comes in the middle of an increase in public complaints about tariff manipulation, the rejection of the route and the annoyance of passengers by the Authorickshaw drivers for demand for automatic driving for bicycle bikes.
During a special drive, 22 teams of transport officials focused on cars without valid permits, billing of exaggerated rates, refusal to continue renting and violation of transport or transport regulations.
At the end of the all -day operation, 260 cases were registered and 98 Autorickshaws were confiscated for various violations in Bengalur. In Nelangale, officials booked 30 cases and confiscated two cars, while nine cases were booked and four cars were seized in Ramanagara. Cases were registered due to lack of valid documents, non -functional and manipulated fare meters and refusal to work on measured tariffs.
The highest number of violations was reported in the limit of Bengaluru South RTO, where 48 cases were booked and 18 cars were entertained. This was followed by Bengaluru West with 36 cases and 13 autopsy, Bengaluru East with 30 cases and five cars and an electronic urban zone with 26 cases and eight cars.
