Congress Working Committee (CWC) member Gidugu Rudra Raju on Friday expressed concern over the Election Commission of India’s “failure to investigate” widespread “vote theft” in elections held in Bihar, Haryana, Maharashtra and other states.
Mr Rudra Raju, who toured the North Andhra region to mobilize party leaders and activists for a massive party rally in New Delhi on December 14, said the event would expose the “unholy alliance” between the Narendra Modi-led government and the ECI.
Talking to the media, he said that in the states where the NDA won the elections with a huge margin, there was a huge difference in the votes polled and counted.
He further alleged that EVM tampering enabled the NDA alliance parties to win a huge majority in the 2024 general elections. He said the ‘Elect Thieves, Abandon the Throne’ campaign has gained momentum in Andhra Pradesh, supported by awareness programs led by district Congress committees in the state.
