The employee who reportedly works for Amazon’s giant based in the USA found himself at the intersection when their manager told them that the company, according to social media contribution, is likely to end employees on Friday or next week.
The manager also allegedly asked the employees to stand up before the human resources department ended his tenure. The alleged employee who shared a Reddit post claimed that he was currently working in Amazon in the role of L3 (non-tech), which means it is in the position of the team leader.
“So I am in the role of L3 in Amazon (non -Tech) and I have just called my manager that there is a pretty good chance that HR will end me on Friday or Max next week, so it is best to resign and ask me to resign today according to the instructions they gave it,” according to Reddit.
At the crossroads
According to the social media post, the social media user said that their manager told them that if they decide to stand up, they would not have to serve “announcements”, but they will receive money for it.
“Now my manager said that if I resign, I will get money for the period and do not have to serve NP,” according to Reddit.
The user stressed his concerns that if they decide to stand up, they do not have to get an annual bonus that is paid to employees at the end of May, except their salary.
“Here’s my concern – every year we get an annual bonus in May and I’m afraid I won’t be a bonus besides my salary,” said an employee who claims to work for Amazon.
The person who asked for help from other Reddit users said that their manager also told them that if they resigned, then in the event of a blacklist, they will be re -connected from the company without any future opportunities.
The employee also shared a friend’s proposal to the person not to provide himself, and that the manager is up to them to end.
“My friend suggested that I do not get off, and that my manager is putting pressure on me to resign, and on the other hand, my manager said that if not, then I would end and basically on a black list from society, so no future opportunities,” the person said in social media.
Netizens React
People on the social media responded to the call of Reddit users, most of which proposed that the employee should not withdraw from their role and wait for receiving severance pay in case of termination.
“If you resign, you need to serve the announcement time. If you end you, you will get severance pay,” Reddit said on behalf of Thefoodieboy, responding to a post ondite R/Indianworkplace.
“Do not inspire! In this case, you will not have a severance pay! Said another user named Broad-Success-8682.
Some users also proposed that an alleged employee should resign and question why they want to work for the company after such an incident. However, there was no evidence that an alleged employee actually worked for Amazon and no names were given in the Reddit.
