
Mayor VV Rajesh on Friday announced a pilot project by the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation to tackle the problem of stray dogs in the city.
As a first step, 50 dogs from different areas within the corporation were captured and sterilized. The mayor explained that various vaccinations, including rabies, were administered and scientific care was provided. He said that private individuals and organizations will be involved in the effective implementation of the program, including the operation of shelters.
