
On Saturday, the district collector Sri Satya Sai urged officials to lead an example in the transformation of the Sri Satya Sai district into a zone without plastic.
Mr. Chetan, who described the public rally in the Dharmavaram as part of the Swarn Andhra-Swachh Andr initiative, emphasized the urgent need to eliminate plastics with one use and the aim of critical impact on environmental protection. He urged the public to carry Jute or fabric bags instead of plastic covers. He also appealed to sellers, large and small to move to ecological alternatives to satisfy customer needs.
“Teachers should take the initiative to sensitize students about the importance of using bottles of Juto’s bags and steel water bottles,” the collector said, emphasizing the need for public cooperation to make the campaign successful. He also managed to promise students and the public and encouraged their active support to eradicate plastic with one use of everyday life.
As part of the event, Mr. Chetan felicitated health workers from the municipality of Dharmavaram as recognition of their devoted service in maintaining cleanliness.
Later he inspected recreational parks maintained by the municipality and proposed measures to modernize the system of street lighting lighting and were intrigued by the initiatives of beautification in the city.
The rally, which recorded the participation of officials of various government departments, students, teachers and the public, has undergone the city’s main intersections and pointed out a collective commitment to a cleaner and greener future.
