With regard to the Indian meteorological and water sources of prediction of severe precipitation across the Godavari basin, collector Eluru K. Vetri Selvi issued warnings to the officials to remain alert.
It is estimated that Sir Arthur Cotton Barrage is likely to receive up to 9 Lakh Cusecs by July 12. Based on the entrances from the head engineer of the water resource department, he ordered that all officials remain in high readiness and ensure that employees on the field level are also ready to respond to any potential flood development.
