On Friday (March 29, 2025), the coffee board introduced premium coffee drops that are marked with one server to strengthen home consumption of clean coffee in the country.
These Gi-feathered coffee bags are designed for simplicity and effortlessly cooking and require only hot water and no equipment, secretary and CEO of KG Jagadeesha said at the media conference. “For cooking a quality cup of clean black coffee is required boiled water and mug,” he said.
Each dripping coffee case contains five Arabica coffee varieties marked GI: Coorg Arabica, Chikmagalur Arabica, Bababudangiri Arabica, Araku Valey Arabica and Monzurged Malabar Arabica coffee.
According to Mr. Jagadeesha, the drip bags sold under the Indian coffee brand will be made available on all electronic trading platforms. “We are planning to sell online coffee to popularize and promote GI -marked coffee and make them available to consumers throughout the country,” he added.
At the same time, the coffee plate also launched Indian special coffee, such as GI-marked monzurred Malabar Arabica and Mysore Nugue Extra Caring Arabica. Monsoon Malabar, said, is the only monsoon coffee (where harvested coffee seeds are exposed to monsoon rain and winds) in the world, added Mr. Jagasheesha.
Coffee culture

As part of Atal Innovation Vision, the Coffee Council offers training for various coffee farmers and coffee entrepreneurs. In this scheme there were about 68 coffee startups, of which more than 20 start -ups in Karnataka.
According to Crisil estimates, the current coffee consumption is estimated to be 95,000 tonnes.
