Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the 67th Kerala School Sports and Games Games, which will be held as part of the Olympics, at the University Stadium here on October 21.
Actor Keerthi Suresh will be the brand ambassador for the games, which will be held across 12 venues. The main venue will be Central Stadium. It will host 12 events, including a tug-of-war. Athletic events will be held at the Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium. Festive events will be held at the university stadium.
The minister said that only minor maintenance remains to be completed at the stadiums. Technical officials were appointed to monitor the events, selectors and volunteers.
Five kitchens have been set up for the games, including one at the Putharikandam campus, which can accommodate 2,500 students for lunch at a time. Valedictorians will also be held at the university stadium.
