The CM alleges that KCR is pumping water “illegally” in his farmhouse
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy claimed that a canal was dug from Kondapochammasagar to Panchapandavula Cheruvu and water was pumped directly to hundreds of acres of BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s farm.
The chief minister asked what was the rationale behind diverting water to KCR’s farmhouse and urged him to agree to remove the pump connection. He suggested setting up a commission of inquiry to investigate the matter and find out where the water from Panchapandavula Cheruvu was supplied from.
The Chief Minister has asked the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) to participate in a debate in the Legislative Assembly on the issues of Krishna and Godavari water sharing, alleging that the previous government had compromised Telangana’s water rights.
The government was ready to discuss how the state’s interests were affected and asked the BRS leadership to stop making what it called false allegations against the government. “People won’t believe you if you keep repeating lies. As long as you keep lying, we’ll keep telling the truth,” he said.
