Commissioners of Bengaluru East and North City Corporations ordered officials to increase civic initiatives with a focus on penetration, flood prevention and maintenance of infrastructure.
The Commissioner of Bengaluru East City Corporation Ramesh DS ordered officials to clean the interventions of lakes and rainwater drainage and noted that 46 lakes fall under the jurisdiction of the corporation. He ordered the evolutionary units where legal proceedings were completed and ordered surveys to identify the main drainage interventions.
The Commissioner also ordered the removal of dry and dangerous trees and trimming low hanging branches. The gardening department was entrusted with the maintenance of 38 public parks and road medians.
Meanwhile, Commissioner Bengaluru North City Corporation Pommala Sunil Kumar inspected the ongoing work near the overpass Hebal and ordered Nhai to ensure free infrastructure.
He also supervised the sanitation discs and distribution of safety equipment to Porakarmicas and revised operations in Indira Canteen in Dasarahalli.
