Civic groups and organizations throughout the city organized several activities and programs to designate 79. Independence Day.
Volunteers from the Army of St. Broseph, a volunteer wing of Brosep Foundation, a non -governmental organization based in Bengalur, met to restore the Wall Freedom Wall, the visual honor of the Indian national icons in Indianagar. The volunteers cleaned and swung layers of dirt and spots and swept the ground around the wall.
“It wasn’t just about cleaning the wall, but about maintaining a space that is of deep importance to our community. It is a small but powerful way to appreciate our national heritage when we celebrate Independence Day,” said Tarini Shivrani, a volunteer.
Arranged contests
As part of the Day of Independence and Har Ghar Tiranga, the Central Office, the Central Silk Council, organized drawing, painting and competitions for writing letters for Jawans at the Madiwale Government School. Quiz, game ‘Pick & Speak’ and ecological production of Tiranga took place for employees. There was also a film screening of the film Parman and Rally.
Scholarships for students
Canara Bank celebrated Independence Day with a notification of scholarships for mere students SC/ST Girl from an disadvantaged environment, under the Bank Corporate Social Responsivation (CSR) “Canara Bank Dr. Ambedkar Vidy Jyothi.” The scholarship will be distributed to 26 circular offices, 177 regional offices and more than 9,861 branches across the country.

The bank also facilitated the initiative of the adoption of villages and the construction of toilets and hygienic facilities for girls in rural schools as part of the CSR program. It has also expanded their support to Sree Boomika Social Service Trust, which serves as a home and an orphanage at ancient age and people with disabilities, through Samarthanam Trust for the disabled provision of auxiliary facilities.
Weekly celebrations
The Canadian International International School (CIS) celebrated Independence Day, along with its milestone for 30 years of international education. Weekly celebrations combined students and employees from more than 40 nationalities.
