With the attitude that cleaning streets and roads littered with garbage is not only the job of civic workers (pourakarmikas), the citizens of Malleshwaram Ward-53 set an example to others by taking brooms and cleaning their neighborhoods and streets on Friday morning, with the motto ‘Our Ward – Our Pride’.
The roads and streets of Bengaluru were covered with garbage and leaves due to the recent heavy rains and winds. Due to the filling of manholes and drains, the roads were covered with mud and garbage.
