Attempts by Sangh Parivar on the threat to the creators of Empuraan were a violation of constitutional values, said the leader of CPI (m) Ma Baby.
After his screening, the filmmakers came under a severe cyber attack. The organizer, RSS, was called a film against the national. The threat and pressure exerted by Sangh Parivar forced the creators to voluntarily remove certain scenes from the film, he said.
The film touched Gujarat. Art works often reflect social reality and development. However, the threat revealed by Sangh Parivar in the film does not exist for a democratic society, he said.
