
United AP Nirudyoga Action Committee president and honorary president of Visakhapatnam Port Pool Khalasis and Samayam Workers Welfare Association Hemanth Kumar on Friday asked Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu to ensure wage revision for the workers. He met the Chief Minister at Bhamini of Parvatipuram-Manyam district and presented a representation to him. He informed the Chief Minister that 530 workers were not getting even a quarter of the salaries paid to regular employees.
Mr. Hemanth asked Mr. Naidu to direct Visakhapatnam Port Trust Chairman Angamuthu to implement the previous assurances given to the workers. Mr. Hemanth thanked the Chief Minister for introducing the zonal system for rapid development of all regions, providing jobs to nearly 48 thousand youths from the state. Earlier, he handed over crowns to Mr. Naidu and Education Minister Nara Lokesh for getting investment in the North Andhra region.
