Two days after a 33 -year -old official of the Central Government attempted suicide in his office because of “harassment in the workplace”, the Central Secretaratiat Service (CSS) forum and the Ministry of Secretaratiat (CSS) wrote the Ministers of Social Justice and the Ministry and the Ministry of Personnel and Training that demanded “free and fair probe”.

“My son has been under serious stress in the last six months. His higher officers harassed him and humiliated him in front of others. He spoke to me for half an hour before he jumped from his office and said he was scared and depressing. I asked him to ask for vacation,” Mr. Meena told the Hind.
His father said his son survived when he fell on the vehicle and suffered a fracture on his left hand.
The CSS forum, representing the Central Government officials, said he strongly condemned the harassment of Mr. Khoda and urged the ministries to carry out a free and fair probe with an immediate step against Eing’s officers. “The case emphasizes the urgent need to reduce harassment in the workplace and prefer mental health,” he said.
October 1, about 150 CSS officials marched at the Kartavya Path police station to demand companies against higher officers who allegedly made Mr. Khoda to take an extreme step.
“The police were not even ready to receive a complaint until other officials arrived.” Mr. Meena said.
Officials of the Ministry of Social Justice and the authorization stated that Mr Khoda worked at the Ministry for about 8-9 years. One official stated that the ministry has not been informed of any harassment at the workplace, which it faces in writing or orally through informal networks during this time.
They added that the ministry immediately contacted the authorities after the incident and that the family was given appropriate support. Regarding the filing of a police complaint, officials stated that the competent authorities would start the necessary processes.
