The Center appreciated the efforts of the Rajasthan government to ensure food safety and prevent food falsification, emphasizing continuous monitoring and rapid disposal of cases registered against perpetrators. The public awareness campaign brought good results in the state.
The Executive Director of India (FSSAI) G. Kamal Vardhan Rao said on Wednesday (July 16, 2025) that samples of edible objects such as milk, ghee, cheese and spices should be regularly collected and possible cases that are made for them on Wednesday (July 16, 2025).
Mr. Rao reviewed the work carried out in the State for Food, Storage, Distribution and Sales and Sales Act.
Director of the Division Regulatory Compliance with Rrakesh Kumar regulations said that cases registered under the Food and Standards Act should be decided in a maximum of 90 days after the sampling.
Haulianlaal Guite, Commissioner, Food Safety and Drug Control in the Rajasthan Directorate of Medical, Health and Family Handing Conditions, he said that an application based on artificial intelligence is developed to monitor measures in real time and provides the necessary information to the public.
Mr. Guite said that during 2024-25 more than 18 200 food samples were removed in the state, and 863 of them were found dangerous, while 3,734 were substandard and 131 were wrong. After the analysis of more than 17,600 samples, the necessary measures were taken, he said.
