
The central government approved the establishment of another six Eklava residential schools (EMRS) in Tripur. The aim of this decision is to address the issue of prematurely to school attendance and provide education to indigenous community children.
Currently, six EMR AS is in the state by adding these new schools the total number reaches 12.
Emrs is managed by Tribura Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TTWREIS), with the chairman of Brijesh Pandey. TTWREIS falls under the Department of Tribe Good Living Conditions.
The State Minister of the Handy Good Terms and Conditions of Tripura Bikash Debarma announced the decision after returning from Nový Delhi, where he met higher officials of the central government. He informed that the central government approved the establishment of another six EMR in the state.
Mr. Debbarma expressed gratitude to the Central Government as this decision and said it would create a favorable educational environment in tribal areas. He also mentioned that the formal opening of these new schools is expected to take place within a month.
TTWREIS also operates four other residential schools in the state regions. According to officials, these institutions are too funded by the Ministry of Union’s tribal care.
