Minister of Trade Unions for Consumer Affairs, Food Distribution and Pralhad Public Joshi said that Minister Union Jal Shakti CR Patil approved the construction of 50 Projects (SMI) in Dharwad in the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayi Yojana district.
In a press release, Mr. Joshi said that, thanks to Mr. Patil’s efforts, the Government of the Union of 45.81 GBP was approved for these projects that will be a great help for farmers in the district.
Mr. Joshi said that after his request from Kundgol Mla Patil and others he met the Minister of the Union, referring to the sanction of these projects to which the Minister committed.
Mr. Joshi said that because Dharwad District has a large amount of agricultural land fed rain, these projects will be useful in storage of rainwater and water supply to farmers, especially at the end of Monsoon and at the beginning of the dry season. More than 6,000 farmers in the district will benefit from these projects, he said.
