The official cause of Ozza Osbourne’s death was confirmed as a heart attack, along with Parkinson’s disease and heart problems. Legend Black Sabbath, 76, died on July 22 in his Buckinghamshire’s house surrounded by his wife Sharon and children.
What is the reason for death?
His daughter Aimee filed a death certificate in London and characterized the “acute myocardial infarction” (serious heart attack) and “coronary arteries” as the primary cause, deteriorating his long Battle of Parkinson.
Over the years of health fighting, the Ozzy family stressed that he died “surrounded by love” and asked for privacy. Rock icon came just 17 days after his emotional final performance with Black Sabbath in Birmingham, where he thanked the fans “from the bottom of my heart”.
Ozzy faced several health problems before his death. In 2003 he was secretly diagnosed with Parkinson, but revealed it only publicly in 2020. His mobility fell sharply after the fall in 2019, which worsened the old injuries of the 2003 quad -wheelers, leaving it in chronic pain and needing operations.
“It’s been five years of absolute hell,” Ozzy admitted in 2023, crediting his family to keep him running.
Parkinson influenced his legs, but his voice remained strong. His son Jack explained that the damage to the spine – not only Parkinson – covered Ozzy’s body. Despite this, he performed his farewell show, which sat on the throne week before his death.
Ozzy funeral 25th July was intimate and emotional. About 110 close families, friends and musicians, including guitarist Zakk Wylde, gathered on his knot Buckinghamshire, where he was buried at a “beautiful point on the lake” according to his wishes.
Photographs filled the house and the participants got one as a memory. A few days later, thousands of fans lined Birmingham Street during a commemorative parade.
Sharon and their children laid tears on the Black Sabbath Bench, where the posters said “Birmingham will always love you”.
The honor of his hometown appreciated Ozzy’s roots in Aston, where he “played on the bombs” before he changed rock music forever.
Ozzy’s heritage as a pioneer of the rock and the survivor lives on. He sold over 100 million records, won three grammysters and entered the Hall of Fame Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twice. His last advice?
Honors were poured from Elton John, Metallica and fans around the world. Sharon, married for Ozzy for 43 turbulent years, once said, “If it wasn’t for Sharon, I’d be dead for a long time”.

Although Ozzy was known for biting bats and “Prince of Darkness”, he wanted to be remembered simply as “John Osbourne: The Workers’ Class of Aston” who beat the chances.
His latest album, *Patient Number 9 *, won 2023 Grammy, showing that his passion lasted until the end.
