The parish of the Catholic Church under the Syro-Malabar Church on Wednesday thwarted the BJP plan to organize the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Church of Idukki.
According to sources, Morch BJP Morcha issued a poster who said that in Muthalakkodom St. George Church under the Kothamangalam diocese in Idukki will be in Muthalakodom St. George in Muthalakkodom St. George to take place on Wednesday.
The poster was released through social media and said that the BJP of the Shone George and the BJP of the Morcha Minority National Vice President Noble Mathew would be among those who would participate.
However, Father Vicar Sebastian Arolichalil issued a statement that condemned the announcement that orbited social media. He said that neither the church nor the diocese had anything to do with it. This statement refused to host any such function and condemned the poster with the church of Muthalakkodom.
The statement also accused the BJP of using the Church for political profits and stated that it would not approve such events.
Bjp stand
Meanwhile, BJP leaders claimed that they had paid money for the Holy Mass in the Church. Seventy -five candles were illuminated near the church and in Sanjo Bhavan, near the church, a cake was cut in Sanjo Bhavan.
“The poster was sent to help workers easily find the church and there were no other intentions,” said BJP leader.
