
On Wednesday, the continuing investigation of the murder case of Shivaprakash Shivaprakash, BJP MLA and one of the accused in the case of Byrathi Basavaraj were questioned. It was the second time the MLA appeared for questioning in connection with the case.
Basavaraj appeared in front of the assistant of the police commissioner (ACP) Prakash Rathod, an investigative officer in the case of Bharthi Nagar police station and was interrogated for more than two hours.
When he talked to the media, Mr. Basavaraj repeated that he had nothing to do with the murder. “I have been asked a few questions and I answered them. I was notified of the notice to appear before the police whenever they called them. I didn’t give them a date. I assured them about my full cooperation,” he said.
Asked by his alleged association Mr. Basavaj answered: “I repeat that I have no connection with any of the suspects who are holding or running in this case. I am a representative of people and anyone can take pictures with them. This does
ShivaPrakash, a real estate broker and a noisy sheeeter, was brutally attacked and killed near his residence at Meanee Avenue Road in Bharathinagar, East Bengaluru on July 15. A total of 11 suspects were arrested, including five who initially gave up responsibility for a crime.
Meanwhile, seven accused were made before the court and was later sent to a 14 -day police custody. One of the accused, identified as Kiran, claimed in court that he had suffered a fracture injury because of police torture in custody. The court ordered the police to receive a medical treatment of injuries and present a report in this respect.
Meanwhile, the police launched a fall for the main accused, Rowdy-Shaeter Jagadisha, who is on the run.
