
Former Trinamool MP Rajya Sabha Kunal Ghosh, in sharp refutation, said Kolkata as the “safest state” in India and lambs the Minister of the Union of Dharmandra Pradhan and urged him to address crimes in areas dominated by BJPs such as Unnao, Hathras, Molegraj and Delhi.
Ghosh’s remarks came in response to the Minister of Education Dharnder Pradhan, who expressed outrage at the alleged rape of a student of law in South Kalkata College. Pradhan claimed that despite the rich heritage of Calcutta in the education of feminine-Institution as “RG Kar Medical College and South Calcutta Law College”-State witnessed “an increase in terrible crimes”, including rape gang.

Pradhan claimed that the attackers were “Gons associated with the ruling TMC” and warned that government silence reflects “very dangerous thinking in the Republic”. Pradhan, who called the TMC by the modern extension of the “old congress culture”, demanded a decisive political action: “It must be thrown away – only then peace will return to Bengal.”
“What can be done when friends rape a friend?”
The Senior Congress of Trinamool Kalyan Banerjee on the alleged case of rape on Friday attracted massive flak and caused further political confrontation between the ruling TMC and the opposition of BJP.
Banerjee responded to the case of rape Kolkato and said, “What can be done when a friend rapes his friend?” BJP described his comments as “shameful”.
“What can be done when a friend raped his friend? Will the police be in schools? He asked Banerjee and added,” Who does all this crime and harassment? Some men do it. So, who should women fight?
Accusation of the victim
According to a police complaint filed by the survivors, a student of the right was lured into a guard room adjacent to a student trade union, where three men allegedly sexually attacked her. The accused were identified as a monocation of Mishhra, a 31-year-old former student and a practicing lawyer, along with two contemporary students-ZAIB AHMED (19) and Mukathyay (20).
The estate claims that it was forcibly limited inside the room where Mishhra had sexually attacked her while the other two stood and helped. In her statement, she tells that she was hit on her head with a hockey wand, denied access to the inhaler during a panic attack, and threatened death if she dared to speak.
Medical examinations confirmed her account, while doctors documented signs of physical assault, including bite brands, scratches and evidence in accordance with forced penetration.
All three charges were arrested and transported to police custody for four days as the investigation continues.
