The Municipal Police in Kozhikode solved the 16 -month case of the murder, which on Saturday 28 June 2025) after the recovery of skeletal remnants from the Cherambadi forest in Tamil Nadu in Tamil Nadu solved the 16 -month case. Two Wayanad natives – Jyothish Kumar (32 years) and BS Ajesh, 27 – were arrested for alleged kidnapped Hemachandran of Kozhikode under the pretext of the financial agreement and led him to the forest of Cherambadi. The suspects were traced by a scientific analysis of cell towers and records of the victim’s call,” the head officer of the special investigation team said. He added that the case of a missing person who was later found by planned kidnapping and murder came out after the victim’s wife filed a complaint.
Before his disappearance, Hemachandran lived in a rented house near Mayanad in Kozhikode for his private business fund. The police said he had financial disputes with suspects, which eventually led to his alleged kidnapping and murder. He was reportedly called to the Kozhikode Medical College using a woman from where he was forcibly transported to Cherambadi.
