
Five people, including two pedestrians, suffered injuries after an exaggerated car lost control and on Sunday turned into a pedestrian trail near the General Hospital in Thiruvananthapurama.
The accident, which occurred around 12:30, left four people in a critical condition.
According to the canton police, a car driven by a native of Valiyavil AK Vishnunath turned off the road, the railing of sidewalks hit before hitting the pedestrians and plowing into the sidewalk. The impact was serious and damaged the nearby Auto-Rikes and several other vehicles.
Among the wounded were three autorickshaw drivers, identified as Surendran, Shaji and Kumar, and two more, SreePriya and Anjaneyan of Vallakkadav, who were preparing on board the authoricksaw, the police said.
While all injuries were immediately rushed to the general hospital, Sreepriya, Shafi and Surendran had to be transferred to Thiruvananthapuram Government Medical College Hospital with serious injuries. Shaji also learned that he had suffered significant injuries.
The driver of the car and his uncle Vijayan, who was with him in the vehicle, escaped a minor injury. The car was seriously damaged in the incident.
The Choja Nagaraju Commissioner said the accident was suspicious that it occurred due to clean negligence. “The driver was trained by his uncle at the time of the accident. This is a clear case of excessive operation and incorrect vehicle treatment.
The canton police registered the case in connection with the incident. Official sources said Vishnunath had a driving license issued in 2019 and claims that he has re -acquainted with the ride after a considerable time.
Thiruvananthapuram Regional Transport Officer (Enforcement) vs Ajith Kumar said the car was driven at high speed and seems to have accidentally pushed the accelerator to the brake, causing the vehicle to lose control. The preliminary probe excluded the possibility of a technical failure.
He also provided the possibility of strict measures, including suspension of both driver and passenger licenses.
