
Next month, the valedictorians of the ‘Quantum Century’ science exhibition organized by the Kerala Sasthra Sahithya Parishad (KSSP) will be held in the state capital.
The exhibition, which generated much enthusiasm among science enthusiasts and received recognition from UNESCO for student and public participation during its nationwide tour, will conclude with a six-day event at Government College for Women, Vazhuthacaud, from February 19 to 24.
A 60-member organizing committee has been constituted, with General Education Minister V. Sivankutty as its chairman and former KSSP president B. Ramesh as its general convener.
District panchayat president V. Priyadarsini, Sanskrit University former vice-chancellor S. Rajasekharan, Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment member secretary A. Sabu, councilor Rakhi Ravikumar are among the vice-chairmen.
The exhibition is organized in collaboration with the science portal Luca, Cochin University of Science and Technology and Government College for Women as part of the global celebrations of the 100th anniversary of quantum mechanics, based on the call of the United Nations.
Registration for the schools started on Once the registration is complete, the equipment for each school will be arranged in the approved slot.
Before the exhibition, courses and activities on various topics related to quantum science will be organized in schools, universities and scientific institutions.
Elaborate awareness campaigns will be organized in cooperation with universities and schools, including a quantum rally.
On the days of the exhibition, lectures on quantum science, scientific lectures, seminars and book exhibitions will be held.
