The district unit for the protection of children (DCPU) and Margadarshi Society organized a number of workshops, programs raising awareness in the Kalaburagi district as part of the campaign against children and in the year (April 2024 to March 2025 prevented 128 children).
DCPU Child Protection Manjul Patil and Director Margadarshi Society Anandraj, addressing a press conference, said the campaign began in December 2024. 450 volunteers set out to educate people about the adverse effects of children’s marriage and provided information on its legal aspects.
Mrs Patil and Mr. Anandraj claimed that child marriage can be removed through social awareness and DCP and the committee for children’s care in this respect.
