The Minister of Labor and the district authorized by Santosh Lad said that the Akka café, which will be completely operated by women from self -help groups, will benefit their economic strengthening of the position.
On Saturday he inaugurated the café Akka set up near Dharwad Zilla Panchayat from the women’s groups Kamadhen Women.
The Minister said that in the framework of the National Mission for the Living, the Ministry for the Development of Skills, Business and Living, he carries out various programs to reduce poverty in urban and rural areas and the Akka café is one of such an initiative economically.
“In order to encourage women to deal with livelihood activities, the state government announced the AKKA Café scheme in the budget 2024-25. The government gave approval to establish 50 Sanjivini (Akka Cafe) across the state that will control exclusively women.
Navalgund MLA NH Konaraddi, chairman of the implementation of the District Warranty of the Authoire SR Patil, CEO Dharwad Zilla Panchayat Bhunesh Patil, was present by the superintendent of the police Gunjan Arya, President Kamadhenus Sautpp Group Rajashree Pawadi.
After the start of the café, the Minister and others inspected the food preparation facility. Then they enjoyed the food prepared in the cafe.
As part of the AKKA CAFE scheme, proposals for the establishment of two such cafes in the Dharwad district were submitted to the Government. And after the identification of the appropriate land, the approval was granted and released grants.
A seven -member committee, headed by a joint director of food and civic supplies, was established for the regime.
