On Wednesday, the cabinet approved a proposal to rent 50 acres of government land in the Karagod district on Kochi Metrol Rail Ltd (KMRL) for the establishment of a solar power plant.
According to the decision of the cabinet, in Hosdurg Taluk will be provided for 30 years for rent for 30 years for annual rent of 32.05 ₹ Lakh.
Wednesday’s cabinet meeting also decided to create 32 contributions in the food safety department.
This decision was taken to improve the infrastructure needed to measure food safety in the state, the government said. Contributions include ten in the food safety official (recovery), six in Juior Superintendent Rank, three in the research officer (Microbiology) post.
The Cabinet also decided to create five positions of the prosecutor’s assistant in the first-class court courts in Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, Ernacula, Kozhikode and Kannara.
Furthermore, the cabinet also decided to release a family and political pension of 3,000 GBP with arrears with pensioners belonging to former ruling families in the state.
