The fooled state of most of the codel in the crowded Goshale caused outrage among the devotees, which caused the requirements for detailed investigation to explore their death and move Goshaly to spacious spaces.
Currently, Goshala has around 1,200 codel against its ability to accommodate 450 to 500 cattle, mainly calves, donated to the dedication of the temple, which leads to the picking of their health, the sources said.
In July 2024, the temple authorities launched a free distribution of the Bulls and Cows) to the eligible farmers for agricultural purpose only in an effort to mitigate the burden of Goshal. After the distribution of the codel at different stages, the entire exercise has stopped this year after the alleged abuse of the scheme with some ruthless elements on the FAG entu last year, the sources added.

The free distribution of the Codel was launched under the direct supervision of collector Rajanna Sircilla Sandeep Kumar Jha in Vemulawada, said Temple’s executive officer K. Vinod Reddy.
In an interview with Hindu, he said: “Exercise Exercise for the division of 300 codel into eligible farmers began in the temple city in adherence to a reliable method. They are handed over to recipients after geo-fingering ensured proper maintenance and care.”
The veterinary medical camp is organized in Thippapur Goshala to constantly monitor the health of some patients of the codel, said district veterinary officer Ravinder Reddy. “We saved the lives of 16 codel by providing rapid medical care,” he said, adding that eight codel died 30 May and five died on May 31. Approximately 500 codes were given LSD vaccination as a safety preventive measure.
