Minister of Finance KN Balagopal stood on Sunday at his booth that the size of the state budget soon touches 2 trillion ₹.
Balagopal, which focused on a press conference, said the annual expenditure in 2024-25 touched Crore 1.75 Lakh. The spending itself in March exceeded 26,000 crore, he said.
The indications are that the state tax revenue (SOTR) would exceed the CRORE 84,000 GBP in the current fiscal. Revenue without tax touched 15,632 GBP Crore, estimated by March 27. These numbers could increase as soon as the final data, he said.
According to Mr. Balagopal, the outflow of the Ministry of Finance touched 92.32% of this fiscal, which is significantly higher than in previous years. In the case of LSG plan only 110%, he said.
Mr. Balagopal quoted this data to refute the accusation that the LDF government reduced the size of the plan by half. He said it was true that the government “favored” expenses. The data also suggests that the state closes on the size of the budget 2 trillion ₹.
