
The University of Kerala favored a wide range of initiatives in the fight against drug abuse and enthusiasm awareness of alcoholism, violence and social injustices in its budget for the financial year 2025-26.
We are starting the next academic year, students will have to sign businesses against drug abuse during admission to university centers and associated universities. Disciplinary measures will be taken against students found guilty of misconduct during their course.
40 Lakh was also assigned to the drones to increase the supervision of the campus. Vice -President (authorized) Mohanan Kunnummal previously recommended the use of drones with allowed AF and autonomous security robots to strengthen the supervision and detection of suspicious assemblies to suppress drug trafficking in the premises.
The “Summary” (friendly) clubs will also be set up at all associated universities to face drug abuse. The University will be set up a headquarters for coordination of their activities. The awards will also be handed over to campuses that excel in drug -free initiatives with a focus on raising students’ awareness. For this initiative, 50 lakh was assigned.
Syndic Subcommon for Conventner G. Muralidharan finance presented a balanced budget that expected revenue and expenditure of 844.42 GBP at the Senate meeting, chaired by prof. Kunnummal.
With the decision of the center to allow mining at sea along the Kerala coast with severe resistance, the University of Kerala will conduct a comprehensive study of environmental, social and economic impact on coastal mining in Kollam.
The 50 Lakh has been set aside to implement the screen award for all courses, including four -year university programs. To this end, the scanning center in Thiruvananthapuram will be expanded and similar facilities will be set up in the subcentrics of the University of Alappuzha and Pandalam. Currently, the screen valuation is carried out for MCA courses using specialized software.
As part of its efforts to improve the quality and impact of research, the university will present a research board with a fixed time frame – three and five years – to ensure early completion of projects. Within the new system, students will be able to decide their research plans at the time of registration. While the research that has decided on a three -year record will receive a monthly scholarship of 25,000 GBP, those who decide to complete their research within five years receive 15,000 GBP each month.
