
A group of British air engineers is scheduled to arrive in Thiruvananthapuram on July 5 to make repairs of the British Royal Navy F-35B Lightning aircraft, which was based on emergency landing last month.
The sources have said that it is expected to arrive in the capital of Kerala a 40 -member aircraft team on a special flight and try to solve the technical problem affecting the aircraft, which is part of the HMS Prince of Wales Carrier Strike Group of the British Royal Navy.

“They were originally planned until the arrival of 2 July, but the visit was postponed for unknown reasons,” the sources added.
“Currently, the aircraft is parked in the bay and is guarded by a six -member team from Prince HMS of Wales,” they said.
Lightning aircraft F-35B, worth over $ 110 million and considered one of the most advanced fighter aircraft in the world, carried out an emergency landing at Thiruvananthapuram Airport.
According to a British High Commission spokesman in India, the aircraft remains at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport and is waiting for repairs after the technical problem.

The United Kingdom agreed to relocate the current to airport maintenance, repair and repair (MRO) for the necessary service.
