The bridging programs will take place in schools in the state if they reopened 2 June as part of the Government Program of Comprehensive Quality Education, said the Minister of General Education V. Sivankutty.
At a press conference on Wednesday, the Minister said that students returning from a summer holiday would have to see what they have learned before the holidays so that they can study new textbooks without any hiccups. Particular attention would be paid to solving gaps in learning, if they exist, to ensure academic continuity in a new academic meeting. The bridging would be made at the beginning of the itself, said the Minister.
Social value
The bridging should also focus on the development of social values. For example, games or seminars should be held to make awareness of addictive substances.
Awareness of transport rules; cleanliness and hygiene, personal and social; importance of sport and exercise for a healthy body and mind; interaction between students on diseases of excessive use of mobile phones; need to protect public property; The importance of peace and cordial atmosphere on campuses without clashes, offensive language and ogrgaging; And it was important to acquaint students with school campuses and their facilities in the early days.
The textbooks included these ideas, but programs focused on them should stick to the message to students. It should not be a one -time exercise, said the minister.
He emphasized the need to understand every child and their circumstances so that their academic progress and behavior characteristics could be properly understood.
Mr Sivanku emphasized the active participation of students in the learning process and organized academic activities in such a way that students’ confidence could be reinforced. These activities should be carried out in classes II to x from 3 to 13 June. An hour a day should be earmarked for these activities. Specific topics were specified for each day, even if schools have the freedom to decide when to organize them.
Koodyund
Koodeyund, a program designed by a higher secondary academic wing to ensure that adolescent students meet their development goals and remain out of illness such as poisoning, violence, addictive substances, speed and other vehicle abuses to become part of the knowledge economy.
The program will be launched 2 June. Students, parents and teachers would get acquainted with his goals and implementation on the same day.
