Eight people were arrested for the alleged sexual assault of a 16 -year -old boy in the keralary, which he allegedly met via a dating application. Sexual attacks allegedly happened in two years.
In connection with the incidents, a total of 14 persons, including a higher official from the Ministry of Education, a higher official for the protection of railways and political leaders, were booking.
Of these, eight accused were arrested by the police. Five accused are currently outside the district and their data have been passed to the relevant police stations.
Police investigations revealed that the accused and the boy made friends with an online dating application. After establishing a close relationship, the boys took various places in the districts of Kasaragod, Kannur and Kozhikode and reportedly raped him. The police said the boy had been the victim of sexual exploitation to the accused on several occasions. The police also revealed that the accused had paid him money after alleged rape.
The suspicion of the mother
The incident came to light when the boy’s mother saw a man in her house one day. When he saw her, the man fled. It grows suspects, filed a complaint against the Chander police.
The boy was later introduced to the children’s authorities for questioning. On the basis of a report by Childline, the investigation started under the leadership of the Chief of the District Police, attending the Station House Police Station (sho) from Vellariikund, Chemeni, Nilesware, Chittarikal and Chander.
The defendant hail from the districts of Kannur and Karagod.
