Bangalore Mahanagara Swachahte Matthu Lorry Malikar Hagoo Guthigedarara Sangha, who represents the suppliers of garbage and trucks, accused higher officials of Bengalur Ltd. (BSWML) harassment, accompanied by another months, while their monthly months produced its months. If the authorities are unable to deal with their concerns, Sangha warns that they can be forced to hit work, leading to a garbage crisis in the city.
Members of the trade unions wrote a letter to BSWML officials and emphasized that suppliers are pushed into the financial crisis and warn that the collection of garbage in Bengalur could be disrupted if the situation was not resolved. The Union expects the reaction of Karee Gowdy CEO until Monday.
Members told Hindu Operational Director (COO) and the CFO (CFO) ignore the suppliers and directly issue instructions to the assistant and representatives of the general managers. The letter, the letter said, cooperated with the inspections carried out new officials, but were displaced and subjected to any decision. The letter described the actions of officers powered by “selfish motifs and personal desires” rather than the interests of the waste management system.
Previously, the members of the association also stated that they wrote a letter 9. September and held the two officials directly responsible for growing confusion. It is reported that the monthly accounts have not been clarified for suppliers since April this year, while the arrears of January remained unpaid.
“For this reason, suppliers were forced to carry sanctions and interest fees on employees’ state insurance (ESI) and the Provisional Fund (EPF). Although partial payments were released, unexplained deductions were made from the accounts, which aggravated the financial burden.”
The letter pointed out that these problems had cascade effects. Suppliers are unable to meet the cost of vehicle maintenance, pay drivers on time or cover the wages of the Porakarmikas, who make up the backbone of the urban garbage system. Many suppliers, as they say, have been pushed into the debt to maintain services.
The letter stressed the difficulties facing workers who have to report every day at 5.30 in the morning. Since public transport is not available in this lesson, workers are forced to spend hard to spend on the authorickshaws or go long distances without any support of the authorities.
SN Balasubraramanian, President of the Association of Waste suppliers BBMP, said he personally referred to COO to a joint meeting of officials and suppliers, but no such meeting was convened. “If the problems are not solved and the work is forced to stop in the coming days, COO and CFO will be directly responsible.”
The suppliers shared that the city traffic police also issued a related directive that increases their concern. In orbital of 18 September, a joint police commissioner (transport) ordered that garbage trucks must not be parked on public roads and note that this practice prevents traffic and creates safety risks. All vehicles, as the circle said, should only be parked in BBMP compositions or in premises officially designed for this purpose. The circular warned that violations would cause strict recovery.
Suppliers have stated that this order means that they will now have to ensure safe parking for hundreds of vehicles throughout the city, which further increases its operating costs when payments are already waiting. Suppliers said they expect a positive response from BSWML, and if they do not meet their expectations, they protest and stop working in the city.
