The bodies of three young people who were flooded in Mantralyam on Saturday evening in the Tungabhadra River, was excluded on Sunday morning. A group of seven young people who study different grade courses visited Mantralyam on Friday morning by train. They had Darshan in the Church of Manchalamma and also in Brindavanam Raghanendra Swamy.
The youth also visited other temples in the city of the pilgrim and relaxed their room around 4 pm because they had to catch the train to leave for their birthplace. Before they got to the station, they went to the banks of the Tungabhadra River and were good when one of the deceased, Sachin (20) slipped into the water. His friends, Pramod (20) and Ajith (19) tried to save him and they were also swept away, the police said. Another young man, Raghunath, tried to attract his friends ashore, but also swept. Fortunately, the locals saved him.
It was made by postmort and the bodies were handed over to their parents.
