The BJP delegation led by the leader of the opposition in the Assembly of R. Ashok called on the lecturer of UT Khader on Monday and urged him to abolish the suspension of 18 BJPs to continue fulfilling their duties as legislators.
After meeting with Mr. Khader, Mr. Ashok said that BJP organized a protest in the assembly not against the speaker, but against the problem of honey trap raised by the Minister of Cooperation KN Rajann and sought the CBI probe into this matter. When the Congress was in opposition, there were many such protests, and BJP legislators did not show any disrespect for the speaker, he said.
The speaker responded positively and said he would announce his decision after consultations with the government, Mr. Ashok said.
Background
During the budget meeting of the legislature, 18 MLA belonging to the BJP was suspended six months from the house for creating a hand. They were suspended because of “non -discipline and disrespect” towards the chair of the speaker.
They proposed a voice protest that demanded the CBI judicial or the CBI probe into Mr. Rajann, and also tore papers and brochures and threw them towards the speaker.
