
The Union’s government blocked the X (formerly Twitter) economist Gunther Fehinger-Jahn after publishing a controversial contribution calling for “dismantling India”, accompanied by the so-called Khalistan map.

Who is Gunther Fehinger-Jahn?
Fehinger-Jahn is an Austrian economist, social media personality and a political activist. He is the President of the Austrian Committee on NATO membership in Ukraine, Kosovo, Bosnia and Austria and sits on the Board of the Action Group for the Regional Economic Integration of the Southern Balkans.
Fehinger-Jahn is known for its assertive defense of Western support for the expansion of Ukraine, NATO and the EU and a very hard attitude against Russia and other enemies of the “West”, including China and India, regularly call for their Balkanization.
In 2023, his post expressed his support to the leader of the Rahul Gandhi Congress as another Indian Prime Minister. Gunther then criticized PM Narendra Modi and called him pro-Russia and Pro-Chinese in old posts on X.
