The Association of Protection of Farmers Tamil Nadu Cauverry Farmers Association has been whitewashed by the State Government to distribute family card holders during the Pongal festival.
Sundar Vimaranathan, Secretary of the Association, participated in Arignar Arignar Arignar Anna Sugar Mill, asked the State Government to distribute Jaggers to family card holders instead of sugar.
He asked that Jaggers should be made in Kaas Mill itself, calling on the state government to take steps to install the machinery needed to produce ethanol in the light of the recent peak command, which favors 20% of ethanol every year.
He suggested that the land be measured around 190 hectares available in the Kaas Mill premises could be used to build gods and rented for the storage of agriculture.
